Before you begin digging in your yard for any reason…building a deck, planting a tree, it is recommended by Common Ground Alliance (CGA) that you call 811. CGA is an association which works “with all industry stakeholders in an effort to prevent damage to underground utility infrastructure and ensure public safety and environmental protection.” By calling 811, you can have your utility lines marked (FOR FREE) before you begin to dig.
